This linocut print consists of two Vietnamese dishes, which are bún đậu mắm tôm (vermicelli with fried tofu and shrimp paste) on the top and bánh canh giò heo (thick noodle soup with pork hocks) on the bottom. They are from the North and the South respectively. These two dishes symbolize my origin being the mixture of both regions since I was born and raised in the South but my family’s root is from the North.
